When Debra Ann made it to the top 2% of the pink culture of Mary Kay, she never envisioned giving up her six-figure income to start a health and wellness company. After 16-years in Mary Kay, although her passion levels remained, her husband encouraged her to start something new.

After facing several health issues in her early 40's, she wasn't happy with what the doctors were telling her, so she decided to do something about it, and Mend-A-Body was born. Today's episode covers how she took over her husband's two companies after his sudden death just last year while still growing this new and very successful company.

When Alan arrived in Australia, he had only 2 suitcases to his name. After growing up as part of a good family in South Africa, it was humbling to be in that position, and he moved ahead to help people in finances.

After leaving a study of the medical profession, he became a sort of a "Financial Doctor," and now it his passion to help people and businesses connect with what they need to get from banks.

Pearl Financial will never be a big dog, but Alan already knows this. The plan is to become a niche market lender, financing the supply chain. He wants to move into other areas of the world where there are major opportunities to both advise and lend to people and businesses.

He's becoming a financial storyteller who travels the world to help businesses and he does something different every day. He admits he's unorganized and he drives his wife crazy with it, but he knows it's the way he works best.

In today's episode, Alan shares his thoughts and beliefs on businesses and their banks. He said businesses try to hide the bad news from their banks, when in reality, they should be laying all their cards on the table.

He loves to share what he's learned and he's a "no-holds-barred" speaker who hates companies who always blame others for their failures.

South African turned Aussie Alan Miltz had more than a few surprises along the way as he was forming his first businesses. After being moved to Australia as a chartered accountant, he decided it was time to go into consulting.

However, shortly after beginning his new venture, he realized that banks and people in the financial world do not speak the same language, despite sounding very familiar to one another. He set out to fix that problem and landed the backing of the wealthiest family in Australia.

Although he has grand plans in mind for expansion, Christian and his partner like to joke that they are the "best kept secret." They quickly learned they don't want clients to have a hard time finding them, but they still want to stay under the radar.

"We're consistently competing with and beating firms that are 10-20 times our size, and we're winning, so why get big?" Christian has long-term goals to continue expanding in a type of licensee structure, and today you'll get a glimpse of what that could look like.

There are certain things that drive Christian bonkers, and one of them is puffed up egos full of revenue numbers with no real look at the cash. He has no problem telling it straight, as they started bare bones 10 years ago and they remain so today.

Today you'll hear about his annoyances as well as the reasons why he keeps things simple and pared down as much as possible. Find out what drives him "flippin' bonkers!"

When Christian Arnold decided to take the entrepreneurial leap, he didn't do it alone. He called his father for some advice, and after getting the thumbs up, he joined his partner in business.

Their initial goal was just to have a better summer, and if they failed, they planned to get "real" jobs again in the fall, but they never had to worry about it! Clients came out of the woodworks and they were surrounded by their network of support, which drove them to success.

Curt started out with a goal in mind to better his family's lifestyle and stop being trapped in the corporate world. However, it didn't take long for him to realize he gets the most satisfaction from having happy employees who love their jobs.

He also enjoys helping other people realize their entrepreneurial dreams. Persistence is the key to the success, according to Curt. He believes his tendency to jump in with both feet without analyzing everything to death is both an asset and a weakness and he shares why in today's philosophical discussion.
